Love it! Nowadays, idiots would say it’s a child abuse tee. Then it was rock ‘n roll. The most fortunate thing was me coming-of-age in the 90s. You inspired me to post a note with Alice in Chain’s anti-war ‘Rooster’, my face track. But https://youtu.be/zGQuYs53PN4 is more appropriate for morning.
You sent me to listen to ‘Junkhead’. A comment below it: “I'm a disabled vet and I can relate to this song. Like many vets, I have been in a place of darkness, poverty, drug addiction, and homelessness. But now I have survived and recovered somehow because I have a strong will to live. I have now risen back up out of the ashes somehow. To move forward and let go of all the shame and stigma and now see myself as a true champion at everything.”
The first time I actually listened to the lyrics of this song -- I must have been twelve or something -- I was shocked. I remember taking the cassette tape out to my backyard and grabbing a rock and poising it overhead to smash the tape (this was during the Just Say No to drugs campaign era). But then I thought to myself, "But I like the music too much." And so I put the rock down.
I'm convinced that that ridiculous moment was a pivotal moment in how my life would play out. Or I'd like to think it was...
😃 😀 😄 😁 🤣 😂 😃
I knew I had you at "breasts."
Put a pair in front of me and I'll find the path to the bedroom!
You could also include the dedication for the Charlatan section to all those MAGA , Trump is our god, phoney pastors and “Christian’s”.
To many things, for it's the age we live in (though my younger self writing this never knew it then).
"The Hangover" sounds like a screenplay waiting to be written.
The Gods are watching the sequel.
The Gods must be going crazy!
When they do, they invent things like Coca-Cola.
Jabber on, for this is the age of the Jabberwocky!
And Alice grew up to be my Goth girlfriend.
This brings to mind an old Alice in Chains tee: https://blackshagvintage.com/products/vintage-alice-in-chains-alice-in-wonderland-long-sleeve-concert-t-shirt-1992-xl

Exactly. Whale and Wasp is from Jar of Flies?? Good stuff, I don’t remember this one…
Yes. Always thought that should be a soundscape for a movie.
I’m with you on Rooster. That and Junkhead
