I’m not sure how you manage to find these topics that trigger my memories. In this case I really didn’t want them. I won’t watch these documentaries because I lived them. It’s one of the big reasons I finally left the business after 25 years. The sexual part of the equation became untenable. The “MeToo” movement is for the most part garbage. It’s women trying to seek revenge for their own stupid actions. The large percentage of the women hanging around “Celebrity Land” were not forced to do anything. They just didn’t like the outcome they didn’t get afterwards. Same goes for the men. The reason I left isn’t because I necessarily found that stuff revolting. It was more that I didn’t. I was losing my soul.

It sure is confusing. I've seen men bully but women manipulate more. I've had women give me the cold shoulder after I thought I was doing the right thing by not having sex. The male/female dynamic is often not dynamic. It helped being around gay people because they were more honest than heterosexuals ,and consequently educational about people overall.

If you had to watch one, then go for 'Blackpink'. I may not dig the music but their work ethic is unbelievable.

As a father of two (still very young) daughters, I'm trying to unread all this...

Not that I don't know it

I'm super glad not to be a parent. I used to take poor kids on adventures. I got the best of them, their curiosity and wonder, and the parents everything else, like drugs and teen pregnancy (hey, let me not be too jaded, they also got graduations and marriages).

It's the curiosity and wonder (and the love in the infrequent moments it's expressed) that's the best for parents too. Or at least for me. I can't imagine myself ever getting excited over a graduation or a marriage

I threw the latter in 'cause it's what other folks seem to like, whereas I don't do weddings, funerals and graduations. I'm with you, so you may agree that the unrestrained bubble laughter of a toddler is one of the two greatest sounds - the other being flowing water.

And the two worst being a toddler’s unrestrained wailing and the sound of flowing diarrhea
