Looking forward to watching them all this weekend. The Neighbors Window was fantastic.

Happy it's appreciated. I've collected urls to my favourite short movies. They don;t get known the way full movies do because they're not marketed. Today, on my political page, I share the best in Russia and Ukraine features but start with my favourite short - its insane.

Bald's travels is something different. Just a Youtubber with a handheld cam (no drone). Sure, I cannot see what's happening off-camera but the experience is more real than a travel documentary. He helped me see places of Russia that time forgot. And there was a trip to an enclave in Kazakhstan that was even more off the map. After getting kicked out of Russia, he spent a year learning Spanish (!) so he could do South America. But following the migrant route is extra kudos. Sure, easier for YouTubers than poor travellers but the second and third videos were especially enlightening.

I will share some of those shorts I've collected, and I've set one for next week, but it'll be rare as I've decided to post documentaries about sex, mostly abuse but some with different angles, weekly for the next year. I watched a lot during covid, having at one stage spent 7 months by myself, and felt nearer to understanding the plight (sometimes choice) of the victims and workers.
