No matter how Big Business tries to kill good music, it survives because true artists are compulsively creative.

Bring it on. I love talking about this stuff. I need to get away from politics anyway.
Funny you should go in this direction though. I play with a group of musicians. We get together once in a while to jam. There are quite a few of us so we'll play different events or now we're playing at various senior centers, retirement homes, etc. doing Christmas related programs. My 12 year old granddaughter is also involved with an organization called Elevate which is a School of Rock type setup. She sings but I'm helping her learn guitar as well. I also work with her various groups to help them develop songs for their programs.
I am familiar with Spiriitbox although I hadn't seen that video. Arch enemy has been one of my favorite groups for quite a while. I played Guitar Hero with Michael Amott in Japan some years ago. He was better than me at that too. Angela was fronting the band then. I was apprehensive when she had to retire but Alissa has taken the torch nicely.
Love this conversation. You bring back all the old memories. You're extremely well versed .
I'll leave you with a couple vids. You may have seen this but I still enjoy it. Like the song a lot.

My fixated with the Japanese scene so I've had to learn about that. Japan meets metal

This last one I threw in. I saw them years go and just thought they were quirky. Plus I like the song.

Interesting selection here. I’ll be working my way through this. My tastes go more toward the symphonic side of the rock genre (Xandria) and I still have a lot of my old clients on my workout playlist. Rammstein, KMFDM, Combichrist. I always am open to new groups though. Glad to get this list.
